History
Arkansas Baptist College is a four-year, private, coed, liberal arts college affiliated with the Arkansas Baptist Consolidated Convention. Founded in 1884 as the Minister’s Institute, the name changed to the Baptist Institute before becoming Arkansas Baptist College in 1885.
As a church-affiliated institution, Arkansas Baptist provides a liberal arts program in a Christian-centered environment. The college programs are designed to develop the academic, social, and spiritual potential of each of its students.
