First launched as a program within one of America's most prestigious historically black colleges, Morehouse School of Medicine evolved into an independent institution in 1981. Since then, Morehouse School of Medicine students have honed their skills while practicing at Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital. This black college's focus on urban medicine underscores its mission to serve people of color in need of quality health care.Morehouse School of Medicine distinguishes itself from other medical colleges by focusing on developing strong primary care practitioners.
