About Spelman College

Spelman College is the oldest historically black college for women in the United States. In 1881, the school was founded in Atlanta, Georgia's capital city. Modern students continue to enjoy Atlanta's diverse artistic and cultural resources, from the Georgia Aquarium to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
