Kentucky Black Colleges and Universities

Famous for its horses and breathtaking natural landscapes, Kentucky provides black college students the chance to study in a state that bridges the cultural divide between North and South. Louisville, the largest city in Kentucky and the birthplace of Muhammad Ali, may draw students because of its vibrant cultural life, including many museums and a sizeable bluegrass and blues music scene.

Kentucky State University offers African-American students the chance to study at a medium-sized historically black college in Frankfort, Kentucky's capital city. Because Kentucky State University is a public university, tuition is kept at a moderate level.
