About Lincoln University

Situated in Jefferson City, Missouri, Lincoln University is a historically black college that was founded in 1866 by members of the United States Colored Infantry. Lincoln University has four academic departments: the College of Business and Professional Studies, the College of Liberal Arts, Education, and Journalism, the College of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Technology, and the School of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education. Through the Center for Academic Enrichment, Lincoln University gives students free one-on-one instruction in writing and mathematics.

Jefferson City, which is Missouri's capital, overlooks the scenic Ozark Plateau and the lovely Missouri River. When they aren't studying, students may enjoy exploring the city's many wineries, parks, restaurants, and shopping centers.
