About Saint Augustines College

With classes taught continuously since 1867, Saint Augustine's College is one of the country's oldest historically black colleges. Located in near the North Carolina State Capitol in Raleigh, the school has offered bachelor's degrees since 1931 in the liberal arts and in nursing. Over the years the school added more career-oriented degrees to match the interests of its growing student body.

While students at this historically black college study the latest topics in business, science, and the arts, the campus of Saint Augustine's College offers clues to the past century. Modern buildings housing labs and lecture spaces contrast with chapel, library, and hospital structures that showcase the college's heritage. Students seeking the quintessential black college experience enjoy the blend of the old and new at Saint Augustine's.
