About Shaw University

Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Shaw University is the oldest historically black college in the South. Besides Shaw University's various bachelor's degree programs, the school offers graduate-level studies in general education, curriculum and instruction, and early childhood education. To support Shaw University's goal of integrating learning and religion, the school also provides advanced theological coursework through its divinity school. The university is affiliated with the Baptist church.

In addition to a wide range of academic programs, Shaw offers students a career services office, a counseling center, a student health center, and several athletic teams.
