About HUSTON-TILLOTSON COLLEGE

Huston-Tillotson College is a small historically black college of liberal arts and sciences in Austin, Texas. It is affiliated with both the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. In 1952, Samuel Huston College and Tillotson College merged to form Huston-Tillotson College. The school awards bachelor's degrees in disciplines including business, the humanities, education, natural sciences, science and technology, and the social sciences. New degree programs include international business and criminal justice.

Austin, Texas, a great college town, is also home to the University of Texas and is the state capital. The city is known for its live music, including the annual South by Southwest and Austin City Limits music festivals.
