About SOUTHWESTERN CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

A historically black college, Southwestern Christian College was founded in 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1949, the college relocated to Terrell, Texas. Today, Southwestern Christian College offers several undergraduate degrees, including the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Associate of Science, and Associate of Arts. Because Southwestern Christian College is affiliated with the Churches of Christ, most academic paths require students to complete core classes in Bible studies.

Terrell is a small, close-knit community located around thirty miles east of Dallas, Texas. Every year, Terrell hosts the Heritage Jubilee festival, which features barbeque contests, arts and crafts displays, live music, and auto shows. Students who crave urban amenities may visit nearby Dallas, which boasts many restaurants, shops, museums, and nightclubs.
