Founded in 1898 in San Antonio, Texas, St. Philips College started modestly, offering sewing classes to less than twenty pupils. Since then, St. Philips College has flourished, adding thousands of students and many academic specialties, from English to Automotive Technology to Nursing. Also, St. Philips has become a leading center for distance education, with various online, hybrid, and web-enhanced classes.A historically black college, St. Philips College strives to accommodate San Antonio's ethnically diverse population with child development centers, learning disability programs, financial aid services, and international student services.
